Activities that do require approval are events open to the general public or impact on the usage of beaches and coastal areas, licensed events, noise and parking implications. These activities include concerts, promotions, product sampling, weddings, photography and filming, personal training and outdoor fitness classes and all activity within the Scarborough Amphitheatre. Activities that do not require approval include small, private gatherings, general swimming, picnics and general exercise. Go to the City's What's On page to view all events around the City and see the link to events at Scarborough.Event Sponsorship - Scarborough BeachThe Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) in partnership with the City of Stirling are offering sponsorship of up to $30,000 towards innovative events, arts, projects or cultural activities occurring in the Scarborough Beach redevelopment area. Eligible applicants include community groups, business associations, not-for-profit organisations, philanthropic foundations, tertiary institutions, and voluntary organisations. The MRA will also consider applications from organisers of high profile existing events and festivals and proposals for new events created to complement the unique attributes and goals of Scarborough.
