The City of Stirling Art Award & Exhibition showcases local and Western Australian artists working in a variety of mediums from painting and drawing to sculpture and textiles. Artist works are presented for the public in a collective exhibition and prizes are awarded by a panel of expert judges. the Awards are held biennially with the nxt one expected to be held in 2019.

The 2017 Art Award was hosted at the City of Stirling Reception Hall from Thursday 12 October - Monday 16 October 2017.  With over 180 artworks on display the quality this year was very high and the judges had their work cut out for them in selecting winners in each category.

This year we were also privileged to have wearable art on display from South Metro Tafe's Applied Fashion Design And Merchandising Students.
