Whether you are starting out or are an elite athlete these technologies are meant to get you motivated and keep you going while this introductory session will get you inspired to explore the technology that's out there and available to you for free!

Red Cross and AMEP will present information on a variety of volunteer roles within the area of Migrant Support and Tutoring.

iPad and iPhone Workshops

Do you have an iPad or iPhone and don't really know how to get the best out of it?

This iOS workshop by Julie Kay-Darby gives an overview of Apple devices like iPads and iPhones, as well as iCloud, the App Store, iBooks and iTunes. It will also cover the basics of email, web browsing and photos.

There will be plenty of time for your questions and answers. Participants are encouraged to bring along their own devices to the session, however it is not essential.

Tuning in to Kids is a 6 week parenting program that helps children learn to understand and regulate their emotions. Children with good emotional intelligence often have better emotional, social, and physical functioning, as well as fewer behavioural difficulties. The program teaches you about how you, as a parent, can help your child develop good emotional skills.

Supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

 This interactive workshop will help participants understand the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Needs such as social, emotional, motor, cognitive, sensory and communication.

Practical strategies to address the needs and develop children's skills at school, home and in the community.

Protective Behaviours

How do you teach your children they have the right to feel safe?

Protective Behaviours is a workshop designed to assist you to educate your child about their feelings, their body and how to be both persistent and assertive, especially in regard to child abuse and bullying.

With mental health problems on the rise, it is important that parents and families are given the knowledge and tools to recognise if their child is experiencing mental health problems, what to do about this and how to raise resilient children.

Justice of the Peace (JP) ServiceJP Service

Stirling Libraries - Mirrabooka now has a Justice of the Peace (JP) service available every Saturday from 9.00am to 11.30am.

This is a free service to the community and no appointment is necessary.

Please note the following:

  • Certified Copies – please bring your own copies, as well as the original document. 
  • Documents requiring a second witness – please bring someone with you to be the second witness. e.g. Will, Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA), Enduring Power of Guardianship (EPG),  Advanced Health Directives (AHD).
