Osborne Community Hub Open Day

Come and visit the Osborne Community Hub and discover what there is to offer.

This free event will include a Welcome to Country with Betty Gartlett, illustrating workshop for budding artists with Gabriel Evans, Storytime in the Library, cardboard robot craft, local history photograph exhibition, face painting, giant games and craft demonstrations.

iPad and iPhone Workshops

Do you have an iPad or iPhone and don't really know how to get the best out of it?

This iOS workshop by Julie Kay-Darby gives an overview of Apple devices like iPads and iPhones, as well as iCloud, the App Store, iBooks and iTunes. It will also cover the basics of email, web browsing and photos.

There will be plenty of time for your questions and answers. Participants are encouraged to bring along their own devices to the session, however it is not essential.

Selection Criteria Workshop at Mirrabooka Library

Do you need to write a selection criteria as part of your job application?

Then come along to the Selection Criteria Workshop.

This Careers Confidence workshop will review content and format to use when preparing an application with selection criteria and other additional questions.

In this skills workshop you will learn about:

  • Techniques for answering questions
  • Learn about using the STAR Model

You will also get a chance to ask questions, review actual selection criteria questions and brainstorm eye catching answers for questions.

Introduction to Sports/Fitness Apps & Devices at Mirrabooka

Love sport, or want to love sport, and interested in the world of Sports and Fitness Apps and Devices but don't know much about them?

This presentation will introduce you to the world of Sports Technology, show you how apps and devices inter-connect, how they can connect to your peers and training, monitor your food and fitness and even show you how to get started with just your smart phone.

Whether you are starting out or are an elite athlete these technologies are meant to get you motivated and keep you going while this introductory session will get you inspired to explore the technology that's out there and available to you for free!

My Health Record - whats's in it for you ?

By the end of 2018 every Australian will have a digital My Health Record, unless they actively choose not to.

Having a My Health Record means that a summary of a person's important health information like allergies, current conditions and treatments, medication details, pathology reports or diagnostic imaging reports can be digitally and securely stored in one place.

The WA Primary Health Alliance team will be running an information session on My Health Record, with a focus on the following;

  • What is My Health Record?
  • Benefits of My Health Record
  • The 2018 nation-wide roll out of My Health Record
  • Security and privacy
  • Questions

Justice of the Peace (JP) ServiceJP Service

Stirling Libraries - Mirrabooka has a Justice of the Peace (JP) service available every Saturday

from 9.00am to 11.30am.

NEW Stirling Libraries - Karrinyup has a Justice of the Peace (JP) service available every Sunday from 2.30pm  to 4.30pm.

This is a free service to the community and no appointment is necessary.

Please note the following:

  • Certified Copies – please bring your own copies, as well as the original document. 
  • Documents requiring a second witness – please bring someone with you to be the second witness. e.g. Will, Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA), Enduring Power of Guardianship (EPG),  Advanced Health Directives (AHD).
