Be Connected is a nationwide initiative helping Australians to increase their computer, technological and digital skills, and get the most out of going online. 

The Be Connected website features online learning resources as well the Be Connected Network - offering in-person support, so you can develop your digital skills and confidence. 

Find a local centre offering workshops and friendly advice, register online to use their easy-to-follow tutorials, or simply ask your librarian for further details.

Bolinda Digital offers a range of audio books that can be downloaded to any MP3 player. Library members can log onto Bolinda Digital with their library card number and Bolinda PIN. (Check with your library to find out your PIN).

It contains everything you would want to know about books including thousands of easy to read independent book reviews, lots of interesting articles, author profiles, book trivia and more.
Good Reading Hub for Book Lovers is a fantastic resource packed full of great information about books.

You can create your own lists of books you'd like to read, browse the popular Good Reading magazine, read independent reviews and great articles about books and authors.

Best of all it's free for all library members! To access all the fabulous things in Good Reading via your library you will need to create your own user name and password.

Gale popular magazine logo Gale's Popular Magazine Collection has full text content with a focus on current events, sports, science and health from thousands of popular magazines, including the Australian version of Choice Magazine.
Encyclopedia Britannica is a great help with school projects. It has junior, middle and high school search screens plus atlases, a dictionary and thesaurus, timelines and links to selected magazines and websites.
Intrepica logo Intrepica is a collection of activities for children aged 5-7. With an avatar, take on literacy and language games that advance your child as their skills improve.
​IELTS General Training is a fantastic resource for those looking to improve their understanding of English as a second language.  IELTS General taining focuses on basic language skills in broad social and workplace contexts.
​IELTS Academic is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking environment, reflecting some of the features of academic language.  This approach is widely supported by institutions that recognise IELTS.

​Kanopy is a video Streaming platform for public libraries delivering one of the largest collections of indie films, classic cinema, festival and educational documentaries, and movies online or through an app. The service enables you to browse and view over 30,000 + films and documentaries from top suppliers, including the BBC, Criterion Collection, Ronin Films, and Madman Entertainment. 
Borrow 4 films a month which can be rewatched over a 72 hour period, (resets start of each month).

You will need your library card, PIN and email to start watching.

Kanopy Kids offers an on-demand video streaming service for children aged preschool and up: A curated selection of educational and enriching videos with developmentally appropriate, age-based ratings from  Common Sense Media™.  Categories include TV Series, Learning Languages, Animated Storybooks, Anime, and Movies for the whole family.  
To access Kanopy Kids, first login to your Kanopy account and then click on the "KIDS" button on the top right side of the page. Extra parental controls are available through Kanopy Kids.

OverDrive has over 5,000 eBooks available to library members through the Western Australian Public Libraries Digital Media Collection (WAPLDMC). Library members will need their borrower number and PIN to login and borrow books.

OverDrive eReading Room is just for kids and provides a safe and easy browsing experience for children. Kids can browse, sample, place holds and borrow eBooks appropriate for their age range and reading level.
PK Magazine Online​PK Magazine Online is a magazine where students can experience the thrill of being published with PK. Submissions accepted from all subject areas including short stories, poems, art, craft, reviews, musical performances, science projects and more. With interviews of popular children's authors, sporting heroes, and of course plenty of competitions, it's a fun and funky place for all primary school kids.
Spineout magazine logo SpineOut is an exciting online magazine for young adults, brought to you by the Good Reading team. It's a special place to express your ideas and thoughts and share creativity in words, art, film or music. Take this magazine on and feel free to contribute and experience the thrill of being published.
Story Box Library features engaging online Australian stories read by some of Australia's finest storytellers. A great resource with convenient and simple streaming, free from advertising to let children focus on the storytelling.
