The City of Stirling's Environment Advisory Group assists in developing strategies, plans and public education campaigns on conservation of the natural environment.

Role of the group

The City of Stirling's Environment Advisory Group attends to conservation and management of natural areas, and provides a way of communicating and engaging with the community.

The group assists the Council in:

  • Developing conservation strategies and management plans
  • Advising on public education and awareness campaigns on conservation.


The group consists of:

  • A maximum of 10 community members residing within any part of the City of Stirling
  • Up to a maximum of three Councillors
  • Various City Officers.

The term of membership is two years from 1 November to 31 October, in line with Council elections.
