Safer Suburbs Incentive Rebate

The City of Stirling is offering a partial subsidy of up to $300 to residents for the installation of home security devices. An additional $120 financial incentive is also offered to residents who install hard-wired smoke detectors and car immobilisers for vehicles registered prior to 1999.  

City of Stirling residents in possession of a Pensioner, Health Care or Seniors Concession Card are invited to apply for Safer Suburbs security rebates.  

Home security rebates are available for the following items:  

• Home intruder alarms $250
• Door deadlocks (per lock) $50
• Keyed window locks (per lock) $30
• Security sensor light $55
• Security screen door (per door) $110
• Security window screen (per window) $50
• Mains-wired smoke detector (AS 3786) $70
• Motor vehicle immobiliser (AS 4601:1999) $50
