The Minister for Infrastructure and Planning the Honourable Allannah McTeirnan, and the former Mayor of the City of Stirling Councillor Tony Vallelonga, along with other invited dignitaries, officially opened the Karrinyup Sports Centre on Wednesday the 8th of September 2004. |

The Karrinyup Sports Centre has rooms for hire which include:
- A sports hall;
- A full sized air conditioned hall - suitable for sports including Basketball, Netball, Volleyball and Badminton;
- A large meeting Room - suitable for seating approximately 70 people or presenting classes such as Yoga or Pilates. The meeting room has a kitchen attached which is capable of hosting catering for any function; and
- A multipurpose area purpose built for children with a playground attached and separate toilet areas (suitable for Playgroups or mothers groups and includes a storage area).
The centre is open Monday to Thursday; 9:00am - 10:00pm, Friday and Saturday; 9:00am - 4:00pm and closed Public Holidays and Sundays.
