Boothman elected Mayor for second term

Last night, in addition to being sworn in to represent the Balga Ward, Cr David Boothman was elected the Mayor for a second consecutive term. Other councillors who put their hand up for the top job included Cr Elizabeth Re and Cr Terry Tyzack.

The City's Integrated Transport Strategy was adopted by Council on 22 September 2009. The Strategy responds to the need to develop a more efficient and sustainable transport network over the City.

The City of Stirling is seeking to appoint an external member to its Audit Committee for a two-year term. Meeting at least four times per year, the Audit Committee assists Council fulfil its responsibilities.

Electors General Meeting

In accordance with Section 5.27 of the Local Government Act 1995 and the Local Government (Administration) Regulations, Electors are advised of the continuance of the Electors General Meeting for the 2008/2009 Financial Year following the meeting's adjournment on 12 October 2009. The meeting will be held at the City of Stirling Parmelia Room, 25 Cedric Street, Stirling, on Wednesday 4 November 2009, commencing at 6.00pm.
