Program offers:
A range of after school activities such as swimming, fencing, martial arts, roller skating, ice skating, sporting events, rock climbing, ten-pin bowling, indoor badminton, soccer, squash, laser combat and ending each program term with something of interest to the young people.
The program encourages young people to participate in various physical activities and promotes Sports as a fun enjoyable activity, which is not only good, but also fun. A different outing is provided every Monday giving young people a range of activities and skills and exposing young people to a range of sports available in the community.

I am Hip Hop Workshop
|
This is an after school program held every Friday, 4.00pm - 6.00pm at Herb Graham Recreation Centre, Mirrabooka.
The music component will run for the first hour and a half with the last half hour reserved for a healthy meal for all participants. |
|
I am Hip Hop is an innovative, energetic and positive exploration of the hip-hop phenomenon. The series of workshops will explore the four elements of hip-hop including emceeing (spoken poetry), deejaying (music), street dancing and beat boxing.
Not only will these workshops teach young people hip-hop culture through musical means but will also build young people's self esteem, promote cultural awareness and create a safe and positive outlet for young people to express themselves.
The workshops combine a live performance where the young people can see how all the elements of hip-hop fuse together to create an experience that is expressive and informative. This also reinforces to youth that their talents and abilities can be used in a positive way to create a healthy environment.
