The City of Stirling provides many activities and events for seniors such as Autumn Clubs and the Stirling Silver program. Find out how to get involved.
Autumn clubs
Autumn/Senior Citizens Clubs operate from most of the City of Stirling’s community centres and provide a meeting place for mature-aged people who wish to participate in social, educational and recreational activities.
How do they operate?
Each club elects a management committee, which is responsible for managing the club's program of activities and general operations.
What do they do?
Each club arranges its own program of activities, which may include:
- Social activities—concerts, bus trips, dancing, cards or bingo
- Recreational activities—indoor bowls, keep fit, darts or pool
- Arts and crafts—painting, sewing or crocheting.
If there is enough interest, a club may also arrange instructional classes.
What does it cost?
Each club also sets the annual subscription.
Who is eligible to join?
City of Stirling resident and aged 55 years or over are eligible to join. Younger residents who receive a Disability Support Pension are also eligible.

Stirling Silver Program
The Stirling Silver Program operates from four of the City of Stirling’s community centres - Scarborough, Balga, Osborne and Bob Daniel at Inglewood.
From these centres, we are able to organise outings and a range of social activities, guest speakers (with morning / afternoon teas) and a variety of ‘hands-on’ workshops and information sessions, including health and wellbeing, physical activity, and keeping up with technology.
For more information download the Stirling Silver Program information sheet or contact Community Services on (08) 9205 8555.
