Our City of Stirling volunteers can use City-owned cars and buses to assist in transporting frail aged and disabled City of Stirling residents for medical appointments, shopping and social outings. Find out more about using this service.
About our transport service
Stirling Volunteer Transport assists clients with transport in 3 buses and 2 cars in addition to volunteers' private vehicles. All drivers and supports are volunteers.
We offer the following services:
- Transport to medical and hospital appointments
- Shopping buses
- One-to-one shopping assistance
- Social outings.
Shopping buses and one-to-one shopping are available fortnightly, and the social outings run weekly.
Clients requiring transport to medical and hospital appointments are required to call us by 4.00pm Wednesday of the week prior to their appointment.
Bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance.
Eligibility
Our transport service is available to Home and Community Care (HACC) eligible frail aged or disabled residents in the City of Stirling who have been referred by a Regional Assessment Service.
Cost
All transport services are provided for a small fee.
