Domestic assistance
The City of Stirling provides a home care service whereby trained support workers assist with basic household chores such as:
- Cleaning floors
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning toilet / bathroom
- Laundry / dusting (if required).
This service is available to frail aged people and people with disabilities living in the City of Stirling, subject to funding availability.
Respite for carers
The City of Stirling provides a home care service for residents which provides an opportunity for carers to have a break or attend to their own needs. Trained support workers offer companionship and short-term assistance with a range of personal care and daily living tasks.
Personal care
The City of Stirling provides a home care service whereby personal care is an individually tailored package for people with high care needs. A trained support worker will help the client stay in his or her own home and maintain physical independence by assisting with tasks such as:
- Bathing, showering, cleaning teeth / dentures
- Dressing and undressing
- Mobility
- Assisting with eating and drinking
- Toileting, emptying commodes
- Prompting with medication.
