Walking groups

There are several organised walking groups in the City of Stirling, including dog-walking and indoor mall-walking. Find out how to join one of them, or just start walking with a group of friends!

Follow My Lead: It’s free, it’s physical, it’s fun!

The City of Stirling launched the ‘Follow My Lead’ project early in 2006.

‘Follow My Lead’ aims to get City of Stirling residents of all ages—from school kids to adults, families and seniors—to increase their physical activity levels in our many reserves and public open space areas and also encouraging responsible dog ownership in the local community.

With or without dogs

A special bonus of the ‘Follow my lead’ programme is that dogs are welcome too (on a leash)! But you don’t have to be a dog owner to get involved—just be someone who wants to get active!

It is important to be a responsible dog owner. Remember to always pick up after your dog and ensure he or she is wearing their collar, ID tag and registration tag when out and about.

If you are walking with a group it is a good idea to keep your dog on a leash, particularly when on pathways.
