The 7.3-km, 3-part Scarborough-Trigg Heritage Trail opened in 2001 to celebrate Australia's Centenary of Federation, and highlights significant events of the last 100 years in the Scarborough and Trigg area. Find out more about the trail.
The Scarborough-Trigg Heritage Trail was established in 2001 to celebrate Australia's Centenary of Federation.
The trail highlights significant events of the last 100 years in the Scarborough and Trigg area including:
• Historic sites and events
• Native plants and animals
• Dancing at the 'snake pit'
• History of local surf life saving
• Past tragedies.
Beginning at Scarborough Beach, the trail consists of 3 loops:
• Scarborough Coastal Loop (1.2 km)
• Trigg Coastal Loop (2.9 km)
• Trigg Bushland Reserve Loop (3.2 km).
The total length is approximately 7.3 km long and should take approximately 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace.
