Facilities and functions

The Herb Graham Recreation Centre has a number of venues available for hire, including both indoor and outdoor sports facilities and functions.​

 

Rooms Available for Hire

Please Note:

All applicants must be aged 18 years or over (conditions apply).

 

All applications must be in writing on the official application form and must be received at least 15 business days prior to the booking date.
 

 

Main Stadium / 3 Courts

Main Stadium has the following features:

  • Maximum Capability:1000 people up to 1500 people depending on event.
  • Three court facility
  • 1800m2 floor space
  • Timber sprung flooring
  • 4 portable Air-conditioning units
  • Ceiling extractor fans
  • Spectator seating
  • Disabled access
  • 3 phase power 
  • Trestle tables & chairs available

Court hire Community Rate $41 per hour per court   

Standard Rate $60 per hour per court

Minor Stadium / 1 Court

Minor Stadium has the following features:

  • Maximum Capability: 600 people

  • One court facility
  • 600m2 floor space
  • Timber sprung flooring
  • Netted viewing area
  • 1 portable Air-conditioning units
  • Ceiling extractor fans
  • Disabled access
  • 3 Phase power
  • Trestle tables and chairs available

Court hire Community Rate $41 per hour per court  

Standard Rate $60 per hour per court

Kitchen

Kitchen has the following features:

Multi-Cultural Centre - Main Hall                                                            

Main Hall has the following features:

  • Holds a maximum of 200 people (depending on room set up) Meeting Space
  • 3 Training rooms
  • 213m2 floor space
  • Air conditioned / Heated
  • Carpeted floor
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Breakout area with hot water urn built in and 2 door catering fridge
  • Outdoor area
  • Trestle tables, round tables and chairs available

Training Rooms for one room for SGP / CALD Groups $8.75 per hour

Training Rooms for one room Community Rate  $17.50 per hour            

Training Rooms for one room Standard Rate $35 for one per hour

  • Adjoining kitchen- includes fridge, microwave, stove and hot water urn built in

  • Kitchen facilities includes fridge, microwave, hot water urn built in.

Kookaburra Rooms 1 & 2 (Adjoining Rooms)

Kookaburra has the following features:

  • Maximum capacity: 30 people seating
  • Electric screen available in one room
  • Whiteboard
  • Kitchen facilities including fridge, microwave, hot water urn built in.
  • Whiteboard available
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Reverse cycle air-conditioning
  • Room 2 - Projector Screen built in.
  • Room 2 - Electric Screen in ceiling

All the above fees are suggest to change without notice and all the above fees are charges are according to the nature of the event and risk to the city.
To receive the discounted rate we will need to sight a Certificate of Incorporation or Statutory Declaration declaring the booking(s) is (are) Not For Profit, whereby the booking will be charged at the community rate of hire.
 
At the conclusion of the function / session the Hirer shall:
1 Leave the entire building in a clean and tidy condition.
1.2 Mop and sweep all floors in function room including kitchen and toilet.
1.3 The floors must not to be left dirty and sticky.
         ALL areas, including the Kitchen and toilets are to be left clean and free of any rubbish or foreign objects or substances such as bottles, glasses, cans etc.
1.4 Vacuum all carpeted area.
1.5 Wipe and stack the tables & chairs (stacks of 10) and return them to the designated storage areas.
1.6 Remove all unused food and drinks from the premises.
1.7 Ensure that all windows and doors are closed and LOCKED.
1.8 Turn off all lights, heaters and air conditioning.
1.9 Remove all decorations (including materials used to support, hang, or affix the decorations) from the building.
2. The hirer must remove all rubbish from the kitchen and hall. The rubbish must be placed in the large bin(s) provided:
3.The Hirer must remove all excess rubbish. It is not permissible for rubbish to be left next to rubbish bins or outside the centre. This is deemed as illegal dumping and the hirer will be charged for the removal of the rubbish.
4. The hirer must report all damage that has occurred either accidentally or maliciously to any part of the building used.
5. No equipment of any description belonging either to CENTRE or any other person, group or business is to be dragged, rolled or otherwise removed across the floor areas.
6. ALL equipment is to be carried or shifted with a trolley.
7. The kitchen facilities are to be used for heating only. The stove and tiled back splash MUST be left clean and free of all grease, fat, food scraps and liquids.
8. The venue must be fully cleaned and vacated by 1am for all evening functions
 
Parties of 50 or more guests need to be registered with the local police station and obtain a Guide to Party Safe by the WA Police. This guide fully explains how to have a safe and enjoyable party and included in the middle of the booklet is a Party Registration Form.
