The City of Stirling had around 330 regional, major and local playgrounds evenly dispersed around the city, and has in place a review, refurbishment and replacement program to ensure they are well maintained. Find out more about playgrounds in our parks.
The City of Stirling maintains around 330 playgrounds evenly dispersed throughout the city. These include:
• 7 regional playgrounds
• 35 major playgrounds
• 288 local playgrounds.
The 7 regional playgrounds are:
• Carine Regional Open Space
• Clarko Reserve
• Jackadder Lake
• Dianella Regional Open Space
• Yokine Regional Open Space
• Princess Wallington Reserve
• Stirling Civic Gardens.
Bookings are not required and usage is free of charge.

Review, refurbishment and replacement of playgrounds
The City of Stirling has in place a comprehensive review and refurbishment/replacement program based on a 10-year cycle.
The criteria for replacement of playgrounds include:
• Need to conform with new safety standards
• Equal access for those with disabilities.
