Parking and accessibility
There centre is located close to transport and has ample parking.
There is a disabled parking bay available and wheelchair access to the centre, change rooms and toilets.
Rooms available for hire
The Jim Satchell Community Recreation Centre is a well-utilised centre set amongst Dianella Open Space and Dianella Reserves 1, 2 and 3.

Main hall
The main hall has the following features
• 450 m² parquet flooring
• Maximum of 400 persons (depending on set up)
• Air conditioning and heating
• Kitchen with fridge, stove and hot water urn
• 60 tables and 250 chairs.
Meeting room
The smaller meeting room has the following features:
• 61 m² carpet floor
• Maximum of 50 persons (depending on room set up)
• Ceiling fans, air conditioning and heating
• Rectangular table, 17 small square tables and 38 chairs.
Activity room
The activity room is suitable for children’s activities, and has the following features:
• 37 m² vinyl floor
• Maximum of 35 persons (depending on room set up)
• Ceiling fans and heating
• Attached children’s playground
• 6 tables and 20 chairs.
Other facilities
Other facilities available for hire at the Jim Satchell Community Recreation Centre include:

• Netball courts (booking are by the City of Stirling Customer Contact Centre ).
Fees and charges
Main hall
The main hall can be booked for either functions or meetings. Function bookings are from 4:30 pm to midnight, subject to availability. The current rates are:
• Venue hire—$430.00
• Refundable Bond—from $500.00.
Regular meeting booking rates are:
• Venue hire—$37.50 per hour
• Refundable bond—$100.00.
Meeting room
Booking rates are:
• Venue hire—$24.50 per hour
• Refundable bond—$100.00.
Activity room
Booking rates are:
• Venue hire—$20.50 per hour
• Refundable bond—$100.00.
