The City of Stirling supports not-for-profit organisations in running arts and cultural activities and events through the Cultural Development Fund.
About the Cultural Development Fund
Arts and events form an essential part of our community. The Cultural Development Fund aims to provide not-for-profit community organisations with access to funding and in-kind support to assist in the coordination of events and projects within the City of Stirling that contribute to community capacity building, community wellbeing, develop community spirit, enhance cultural diversity and nurture the arts.
Projects and events must directly benefit the City of Stirling community and take place in the City of Stirling.
There are three levels funding available:
Level 1: Flagship Events
Funding Range: $3,000 to $15,000
Events that attract significant attendance numbers and contribute long term social, cultural or economic value to the City of Stirling community.
All applications for Flagship Events must be submitted by 1 July for events taking place the following financial year.
Generally applicants are notified of the outcome of their application in August.
Level 2: Community Events
Funding Range: $1,000 to $3,000
Initiatives that contribute to community capacity building, promote community involvement, enhance cultural diversity or nurture the Arts.
Applications will be received on a year-round basis and must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the event taking place.
Level 3: Cultural Development Projects and Small Events
Funding Range: up to $1,000
One-off initiatives or projects with a strong arts/cultural development focus.
Participant numbers need not be substantial but applicants must demonstrate how their project will benefit the community and the proposed outcomes in terms of cultural development.
Applications will be received on a year-round basis and must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the activity taking place.
