Consultation Outcomes

As detailed under ‘Consultation Opportunities’, the community consultation conducted for Amendment 458 was the most comprehensive programme the City has undertaken in regard to advertising a planning document.

At the conclusion of the advertising period, almost 1600 submissions were received. This was in addition to the feedback obtained from the 184 participants of the Community Forums. In brief:-

  • Submission Outcomes:

Of all submissions received, the majority (66%) support or strongly support Amendment 458, whilst 30.5% oppose or strongly oppose the Amendment. 2.6% ‘neither support nor oppose’ the Amendment and 0.9% were unsure.

  • Community Forum Outcomes:

Of the 184 participants of the Community Forum, 169 took the opportunity to comment on the feedback forms provided. When asked to comment on their level of satisfaction with Amendment 458 overall – 41.6% were ‘very satisfied or satisfied’, 38.7% were ‘very dissatisfied or dissatisfied’, 16.1% were ‘neither satisfied nor dissatisfied’ and 3.6% were unsure.
