Paid Parking - Public Comment Invited
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City of Stirling invites written comment from the public on a Business Plan outlining the proposal to apply fees for use of existing and proposed new public parking facilities at various high parking demand locations in the City. The public parking facilities where fees would apply are controlled and managed by the City.
The Business Plan details the locations where parking fees would apply, proposals to construct some additional parking facilities, the estimated costs and estimated revenue. Revenue raised from parking activities will go towards meeting the costs of the City’s Parking Service and construction of additional parking facilities. Paid parking is aimed at removing the financial burden for management, construction and maintenance of parking facilities from Stirling ratepayers generally, to those who use the facilities.
