Volunteers are a vital link in the provision of essential services for frail aged people and residents with disabilities within the City of Stirling. They contribute a wealth of skills, experience and time. Find out how you can get involved.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering is an activity that benefits the community as well as the volunteer.
Volunteers, along with staff, are recognised members of a team and are encouraged to contribute ideas and have input toward the service provision.
Training provides volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake their role confidently and without risk to themselves or others.
Volunteering should not incur a cost to the volunteer and all authorised expenditure will be reimbursed. Insurance is provided to all volunteers for personal injury, loss of income and motor vehicle cover. Sound risk management strategies are in place to protect the safety and wellbeing of the volunteers and clients.
