Johnny Ruffo visits the City of Stirling
Monday 16 July 2012
Johnny Ruffo recently visited Perth to promote his new single "On Top" and took time out from his official duties to visit the City of Stirling to be acknowledged for his achievements by the Mayor, David Boothman and mingle with fans.
A local boy from Balcatta, after coming runner up in X Factor a year ago, Johnny’s life has been thrust from concrete tradie into celebrity recording artist and performer. He recently won Channel Seven's Dancing with the Stars, has toured nationally with New Kids on the Block and the Back Street Boys and was named Cleo’s Bachelor of the Year 2012.
Johnny visited the City’s Civic Centre and chatted to staff. He then went to the Stirling Leisure Centre – Scarborough where he met locals and the kids from the Scarborough Out of School Care who enjoyed participating in a zumba class with Johnny and where he signed autographs.
The City of Stirling is very proud of their local Balcatta boy made good and we wish him every success in his future musical career
