Role of the Working Group
The City of Stirling’s Road Safety Working Group is a means of communication and participation with the community, and deals with:
• Road safety
• Raising awareness of road safety issues and initiatives
• Facilitating development and implementation of road safety programs.
The intention and purpose of the Working Group is to:
• Encourage and promote safer use of roads
• Address existing and potential road safety issues using appropriate strategies
• Engage and foster community involvement in traffic safety matters.
Working Group members
The Working Group consists of:
• 4 community members
• Representatives from RoadWise, Main Roads WA, WA Police and the RAC
• Up to 3 Councillors
• Various City Officers.
The term of membership is 2 years from 1 November to 31 October, in line with Council elections.
