Natural Environment Working Group

The City of Stirling’s Natural Environment Working Group assists in developing strategies, plans and public education campaigns on conservation of the natural environment.

 

Role of the Working Group

The City of Stirling’s Natural Environment Working Group deals with the conservation and management of natural areas, and is a means of communication and participation with the community.
 
The Working Group assists the Council in:
• Developing conservation strategies and management plans
• Advising on public education and awareness campaigns on conservation.

Working Group members

The Working Group consists of:
• A maximum of ten community members residing within any part of the City of Stirling
• Up to a maximum of 3 Councillors
• Various City Officers.
The term of membership is 2 years from 1 November to 31 October, in line with Council elections.
 
Council members in the Natural Environment Working Group are:
• Councillor S Cooke
• Councillor J Robbins
