Coastal Ward and Councillors

The Councillors for the City of Stirling’s Coastal Ward are Jason Robbins and Bill Stewart. Elected to council: 2009
 
Councillor Robbins is a Project Manager who is presently employed by Optus. He is an active member of the community, who has represented people on local issues for the past 10 years through various committees and action grups, such as the Scarborough and Districts Progress Assocition and West Coast Care.
 
Cr Robbins has a special interest in the SEAS Master Plan driven by his life-long connection to the area; this also complements his awareness of environmental issues with a strong leaning towards the coastal plains and the loss of urban canopy due to urban in-fill development.

Elected to council: 1996
 
Councillor Stewart is a secondary school teacher who has served on all of the City's standing committees during his time on Council as well as undertaking a term as deputy mayor from 2002 to 2003. Cr Stewart has a special interest in streescape improvements, environmental sustainability, the preservation of natural reserves, traffic management and the upgrade and development of public amenities.
