The Top Ten things to do in the City of Stirling

The City of Stirling is a vibrant place of activity with many things to see and do. Whether a first time visitor or a local looking to explore your own backyard, below is what we believe are the top ten things to do in the City of Stirling.
 

Get close to nature

Immerse yourself in nature at Herdsman Lake, Trigg Bushland Reserve, Carine Lakes, Lake Gwelup, Star Swamp Reserve. Here you will see a huge variety of native flora and fauna in a natural and scenic location. Try out Bushlink, an urban walking route linking major bushland areas within the City. You might even spot a kangaroo in Dianella!
 

Get cultured

Why not discover the history of the region at the Mt Flora Museum or meander along the Scarborough-Trigg or Star Swamp Heritage Trails. Get active

Walking and cycling are two of the best ways to take in your surrounds. The City of Stirling has
world-class walking tracks along the coast from Scarborough to Waterman's Bay, around tranquil Lake Gwelup, picturesque Carine Open Space or undulating Stirling Civic Gardens.
 
If golf is more your sport tee off at one of the four Golf Courses in the City of Stirling, or takes the kids for a swim at Leisurepark Balga or Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre Inglewood.
 

Retail therapy

Enjoy shopping in air-condition comfort in one of our three major shopping centres - Innaloo, Karrinyup or Mirrabooka or find that unique purchase in one of the great out-of-the-way boutiques along Beaufort Street.
 

Eat and drink

From funky cafes in Mt Lawley to awesome Italian in Osborne Park the City of Stirling has it all. Watch the sun set over
the Indian Ocean with fish and chips or go more upmarket in one of the top notch restaurants in Scarborough or Trigg.
 

Entertainment

With the only amphitheatre on the beach in WA, Scarborough Beach is a hub for entertainment during the warmer months - check out the events at the amphitheatre.
 
Alternately take in classic films or live performances at the historic Astor Theatre or catch up with all the new releases at the Innaloo Cinema Complex. There is something for all tastes!
 

Sunset Coast

The beach is what WA is known for. Scarborough, Trigg, Mettam's Pool, North Beach and Waterman's Bay offer an abundance of leisure opportunities for all ages. Learn to surf, try wind or kite surfing, go snorkelling, explore the underwater rogaining course, or just have a leisurely swim - it's all here!
 

Explore

For an amazing view of our spectacular coast head up to Mount Flora Museum and climb the steps up the water tower or get lost in the view of inland Perth at the State Golf Centre.
 

Indulge

Escape the everyday and pamper yourself at one of the luxurious spa salons in Mt Lawley, Scarborough or treat yourself to a relaxation massage in Karrinyup or Innaloo Shopping Centres.
